Beautiful Bandit (Lone Star Legends V1)

Book Description:
Joshua Neville is a quiet, even-keeled rancher who was just minding his own business when he witnessed a brazen bank robbery in San Antonio, Texas, that leaves three men dead. Even more shocking than the heist itself is that the ringleader looked like a woman!Weeks later, when Josh is on the trail, a lost and confused woman stumbles upon his campsite. He agrees to take "Dinah" to Mexico, but soon their journey is hampered by harsh weather and wild animals. When Dinah breaks her ankle, Josh takes her to his ranch to heal.As the two grow closer, Josh realizes he's fallen in love, even as he learns the truth about Dinah. But does he know the whole story? And, after the truth comes out, will he put his life at risk to keep her with him?

My Opinion:
Really great book!!! There are (I think) three main reasons why I loved this book...1.) It is written the way I would have written it if I was telling the story. 2.) Loree writes in a way that feels like your just having a conversation with an old dear friend. 3.) Her style is smooth, even paced, and lovely; filled with her quick wit. Her writing is very clever. The Beautiful Bandit is a unique tale that will make you laugh, cry, and cheer right up til the end. There was a handful of typos, but this is easily over looked. I love the characters and the stories behind them. Sometimes I got a little twisted around when a lot of different new things came out about the character's past at once, but Lorre explains you through them in time. I would love to see where Lough takes the characters, especially the other cousins. Over all I love the fact that Lorre doesn't tip toe around real life happenings. Tragedy and trauma are woven through this book just as she said it would in her letter at the beginning; which you must make sure you read also! :)

These songs where taken or inspired by songs right out of the book: "Yellow Rose Of Texas" by Johnny Lee, "Amazing Grace" by LeAnn Rimes, "Scottish Bothy Ballad: Hatton Woods" by John Ellis & His Highland Country Band, and "I Need Thee Every Hour" by Done Again.
