The Irish Healer Review!!!

*The Irish Healer by Nancy Herriman

Book Description:
Accused of murdering a child under her care, Irish healer Rachel Dunne flees the ensuing scandal while vowing to never sit at another sickbed. She no longer trusts in her abilities-or God's mercy--though when a cholera epidemic sweeps through London, she feels compelled to nurse the dying daughter of the enigmatic physician she has come to love. James Edmunds, wearied by the deaths of too many patients, has his own doubts about God's grace. Together, they will have to face their darkest fears . . . and learn what it means to have real faith.

My Opinion:
I found this book on Amazon and was immediately intrigued. I was not disappointed and I REALLY enjoyed The Irish Healer. It's story is creative and unique. Nancy's writing is great , I love her characters, and the whole flow of the story. I can't wait to read the next one. It really touched me when the heroine prevailed and realized what she needed to do. I love the way it shows how the way other's perceive us can be completely different than how we see ourselves. If you're looking for a book about bravery, love, choices, healing, learning to trust God and not your own abilities, and seeing God's true love through the most dire of circumstances. This is the book for you! :)

The songs I paired with this book are: "He Leadeth Me" by Candi Pearson, "I Surrender All" by Israel Houghton, "Irish Reels" by Irish And Celtic Music, and "Morning Has Broken" by Craig Duncan

  1. I got The Irish Healer in a Christmas gift book exchange my local writer's group did and I loved it! Of course, it's not hard to love anything Irish and historical, but Nancy did a great job with the journey of both the hero and heroine. A wonderful read.
