Heirs of Rebellion Review!!!

Heirs of Rebellion by Vanessa Miller

Book Description:
The Blessed One

After Joel Morrison lost his children in the 1952 Kern County earthquake, God blessed him with a successful business and with five more children. But now that those children are grown and living their own lives, Joel worries that the devourer has once again set his sights on the family that God has blessed.
For the most part, Joel's children are successful and rich yet very unhappy. So, in an attempt to teach his children a lesson in giving, Joel invites all of them on a family vacation in the Bahamas, where he plans to announce a change in his will–he is giving away most of his fortune to charity. But Joel's declaration is not the biggest surprise of their vacation. Shockwaves are sent throughout the Morrison family, and Joel's plans change.
The Wild One

Dee Dee Morrison–Milner is a movie star and the wild child in the Morrison family. When her younger sister, Elaine, asks her to adopt an African orphan child (Natua), Dee Dee agrees because adopting an underprivileged child may be good for her career. But when a psychopathic fan fixates on Dee Dee's new family, she finds herself running from a stalker. When Natua is kidnapped, Dee Dee turns to her estranged husband, Drake Milner, in hopes of finding the child whose kind nature stole her heart and helped her return to God.

My Opinion:
Interesting!  I really like the way Vanessa writes.  I was at first worried on how I was gonna keep up with all these characters! LOL!  Five kids, some with spouses, all in relationships of some kind, plus children, is a lot! :D  But Vanessa writes in a way that keeps them all untangled while I read.  I REALLY want more! :D  For me these stories could have even been longer, more fleshed out, and still have been as good if not even better!  I can't wait to find out what happens with the rest of this family!  I absolutely love the characters and think this concept is brilliant!  One of my favorite things is how Vanessa writes prayers!  I LOVE how their from the heart and that she actually has "In Jesus' name" before the Amens.  It's sad how many prayers in books don't end this way.  But I digress...I love how the first part ended with a kinda cliff hanger and twist, then picked right back up with Dee Dee.  Plus I love the addition of Natua her adopted daughter.  She is everything a little girl should be, and helps to bring out more in the rest of the characters. :)  Though Dee Dee frustrated me at times ultimately I came to love her like all the rest!  The messages throughout and the way they are delivered are great!  I MUST find out what happens to these other siblings!  Reading the teasers for the next book I am chomping at the bit to wrap this up! :D  It is really a great read and a Must read!!!
