Tried and True Review!!!

Tried and True by Mary Connealy
Book Description:
Saddle up for a wildly fun ride with the Wilde sisters!
Kylie Wilde is the youngest sister---and the most civilized. Her older sisters might be happy dressing in trousers and posing as men, but Kylie has grown her hair long and wears skirts every chance she gets. It's a risk---they are homesteading using the special exemptions they earned serving in the Civil War as "boys"---but Kylie plans to make the most of the years before she can sell her property and return to the luxuries of life back East.
Local land agent Aaron Masterson is fascinated with Kylie from the moment her long hair falls from her cap. But now that he knows her secret, can he in good conscience defraud the U.S. government? And when someone tries to force Kylie off her land, does he have any hope of convincing her that marrying him and settling on the frontier is the better option for her future?

My Opinion:
I REALLY enjoyed it!!!  This is a fantastic new series and I can not WAIT for the next two books!  Kylie as a character is a good one, but I did relate more with her two sisters than her (sometimes she acted too girly for me LOL!  I'm all about being who God made you to be and not living like a man if He made you a woman, but Kylie had a lot of growing up to do.  But I LOVE that she did the growing throughout the story!  :D).  I really loved this whole concept and the way Mary ties everything together!!!!  I think and REALLY hope I know where Bailey's story is going to go and I CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT ONE!  But I am also looking forward to Shannon's and Matt's story.  We get a glimpse of this in Tried and True!  But back to Kylie and Aaron.  I was blown away by some changes and I LOVE the messages Mary weaves into the plot as it thickens!!!  From the very beginning she had me hooked and laughing as I could just picture Kylie trying to make repairs on her house all by herself.  From then on the story flows and rolls in a nice pace that keeps you highly entertained!  There are characters I thought would be bad guys that turned out to be not so bad and actually became some of my favorite characters!  With shocking twists to drag you in further, to funny scenes that almost make your ribs hurt, to a few too sweet scenes for me, but they are filled with that sticky sweet kind of love. ;)  Even if they don't admit it because of their differences for a while. :D  Kylie and Aaron are made for each other!  From the moment I read this book description I knew I REALLY wanted to read this book and I'm SO glad I did!  Fabulous, entertaining read and everything I've come to expect from Mary!
