A Heart's Betrayal Review!!!!!

A Heart's Betrayal by Colleen Coble

Book Description:
A Heart's Betrayal (Thomas Nelson, June 2015)

Emmie finds shelter in the arms of a soldier, but her secret could drive them apart.

When Emmie Croftner answered the door to her late husband's home, she discovered an awful truth: her deceased husband was a bigamist. And what's more, the home she thought she inherited never belonged to her at all.
Suddenly displaced, powerless, and ashamed, Emmie can't stay in Wabash, Indiana. She makes a hopeful start for Fort Laramie, Wyoming, to find her friend Sarah Montgomery and a new beginning. But when she arrives, she discovers she's pregnant---and without a husband. The new start she'd hoped for slips from her fingers.

But then she meets Isaac Liddle, a handsome soldier with a kind heart. When he begins to court her, Emmie wonders whether she could ever really be his---and whether she dares to tell him she is carrying another man's baby.

My Opinion:
Excellent sequel and new start!  I wondered where these books were going to go after Sarah and Rand's story seemed to wrap up.  And I am so excited about the next batch of characters!  Sarah, Rand, and Joel return, a fact I am very happy about because I loved them all and wanted to read where Colleen takes them next, but I also have grown to love poor Emmie!  And I can't wait for her to change from poor Emmie to completely Blessed Emmie.  Which of coarse is where I sincerely hope she's headed.  I can't even imagine going through what this girl goes through.  To be totally in love with someone only to find out they are a lying bigamist is just too heartbreaking to comprehend for me.  And Colleen expresses these feelings exactly!  I am also very happy with how Colleen chose to make Emmie the sister of the terrible villain from Sarah's past!  Expressing how just because you're related to someone doesn't mean you are exactly like them, nor do you treat people in the same ways!  I also love that she has brought Isaac back as the male lead!  I really liked him, but knew he wasn't for Sarah!  So I'm happy he's gonna get his shot! ;)  Emmie's got a lot to overcome and I can't wait for her to come to The One who can bring her through it all!  I'm excited for the next installment!
