Author Interview with Jenna Brandt!!!!!!!

Hello all! :)
I'm please to introduce you to author +Jenna Brandt.

Jenna's new series the Window to the Heart Saga is releasing in the next few months from May 29th - July 10th
(stay tuned to the end to read book descriptions of the first 2)!

What is your Favorite Bible verse?

Since I can remember, my favorite verse is 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 where perfect love is described.

"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,  Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;  Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;  Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.  Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away."

It has come to mean so much to me over the years, I reference the list of attributes throughout my books. I find it affirming that the verses describes actions and not feelings. You act out love even when you don’t feel it.

What is your favorite song right now?

"Fierce" by Jesus Culture. I love the description of God’s love being like a storm and how His love never relents. Such beautiful imagery. Love it!

What are you reading right now?

I am prepping for my next two books, so I have been reading up on Oregon and Oxford University since my new books will be taking place in those areas. If you read the first three books, this could hint at to who the next two books will be written about after 1-3 publish.

What or who encouraged you to write?

My mother. She is a strong Christian and always maintained her faith even while working for a secular newspaper. Anyone who works in the industry, knows how hard that can be. She also was extremely dedicated and spent countless hours perfecting her work. She was (and is) a true wordsmith.

What was your Inspiration for this series?

I didn’t like cookie-cutter books and I wanted to write a different type of historical romance than the books I had read. What happens if things don’t end up perfect? How do you survive and find happiness through trials and tribulations? I wanted to create a strong female lead who was also both parts lovable and flawed. Margaret isn’t perfect but she is a perfect heroine because she is relatable in the way she feels and thinks and how she overcomes tragedies, even ones of her own making.

What's next for you?

I will be writing Book 4 over the summer and Book 5 in the fall for the Window to the Heart Saga. The plots are already roughly put together and I know who they will be centering around from the previous 3 books.

Is there anything else that you would like readers to know?

I am a Christian first and a writer second. I really believe God gave me the gift of writing and I want to entertain people while sharing the love of God and power in faith.

Thank you so much Jenna for allowing me to interview you today.  These book descriptions sound highly intriguing! :)  I hope they reach those that need them most!  ~ASC
