The Matchmaker's Match Review!!!!

The Matchmaker's Match by Jessica Nelson

Book Description:
He has three months to find a wife—or lose his estate. Spencer, Lord Ashwhite, doubts he'll find a suitable bride among the ton, until the unconventional Lady Amelia Baxley agrees to provide a list of candidates. It should be an ideal arrangement, were Spencer not growing attached to the one woman Amelia refuses to consider as a prospect: herself.

Independence means everything to Amelia, who has been burned in love before. The charming marquis is quickly putting her entire life in turmoil, and controlling her stubborn heart has never been such a challenge. But does the ever-practical Amelia dare to go from bride-finder to wife?

My Opinion:
Lovely read! This is the first book I've read from Jessica, and I'm happy to say I'd happily read more! :)  Amelia and Spencer immediately became favorite characters from the very beginning!  Getting lost in regency times is always something I enjoy doing and I really enjoyed the plot and twists!  Entertaining from the start and when you get closer and closer to the end more and more things happen to these two!  From injuries to redemption!  I love independent characters and you can't get more independent than Amelia! LOL!  She kinda reminded my of Beatrix Potter!  Loved this book and recommend it!

Songs: "Matchmaker" from Fiddler On The Roof - Soundtrack, "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)" by Chris Tomlin, and "I Am New" by Jason Gray

The Christmas Joy Ride Review!!!

The Christmas Joy Ride by Melody Carlson
Book Description:
Miranda did not put adventure on her Christmas list, but thanks to her eighty-five-year-old neighbor Joy, that's exactly what she's getting this year. When Joy tells Miranda that she plans to drive an old RV decked out in Christmas decorations from their Chicago neighborhood to her new retirement digs in Phoenix--in the dead of winter, no less--the much younger Miranda insists that Joy cannot make such a trip by herself. Besides, a crazy trip with Joy would be more interesting than another Christmas home alone. Unemployed and facing foreclosure, Miranda feels she has nothing to lose by packing a bag and heading off to Route 66. But Joy has a hidden agenda for their Christmas joyride--and a hidden problem that could derail the whole venture.

No one captures the heartwarming fun of the Christmas season quite like Melody Carlson. Fasten your seat belt, because it's going to be an exciting ride!

My Opinion:
What an awesome ride! :)  Melody Carlson never ceases to deliver a unique and fantastic Christmas novella each year!  And The Christmas Joy Ride is no exception!  This is a must read this season!  You feel like you're right there in the RV with Christmas Joy and her elf! ;)  Filled with holiday spirit and a few surprises with a dash of romance!  This is the perfect read for a cold snowy day curled up in front of the fire with a cup of tea or cocoa!  I highly recommend it!  Fun, laughter, surprise, shock, Faith, love, healing, fresh starts, and much more await you!

Songs: "Joy To The World!" performed by Faith Hill, "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
performed by Dean Martin, "O Come All Ye Faithful" performed by Casting Crowns, and "I'll Be Home for Christmas" performed by MercyMe
Songs etc. May be changed and/or added in the future. ~ASC

1. Exhale
3. Smoke

My Opinion:
Awesome!  I've loved Plumbs music for a while now and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this CD!  I have my favorites, as with any CD, but if I start to list them I'll end up listing all of the songs! LOL!  Exhale, the title song, and Lord I'm Ready Now are the songs I've heard on the radio the most and they are beautiful songs!  And then you get songs like Smoke, My True Love, Sleep Will Be Sweet, etc. and I find that each of them touch my heart and hold a truth all there own. Plumbs testimony has always struck a chord with me and I love how she reflects her experiences in her songs!  I highly recommend this CD!

Vendetta Review!

Vendetta by Lisa Harris

Book Description:
No one needs to push Nikki Boyd to excel on the Tennessee Missing Person Task Force. The case of her own missing sister, still unsolved after ten years, is the driving force in her work. When a Polaroid photo of a missing girl shows up at a crime scene, Nikki quickly recognizes similarities to the past. The closer she gets to the abductor, the more she feels that this case is getting personal, and that she is not the hunter at all--but actually the one being hunted.

With this explosive first book in the new Nikki Boyd Files, Lisa Harris takes readers on a fast-paced pursuit of justice that will have them holding their breath until the heart-stopping finish.

My Opinion:
Exciting!  This is an exciting new series and I'm looking forward to more!  With twists and surprises throughout and complex interesting characters the action doesn't take many rests.  There are some character conversations that seemed a little long to me, one scene that was a little (for lack of a better word) odd to me, and some things were repeated a few too many times for my personal liking.  Overall though I really enjoyed the story and getting to know these characters.  Nikki is such a full complex character that I feel like I haven't even scratched the surface in getting to know all that she is, and that's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to the next story! :)  Excellent suspense, intrigue, romance, mystery, and more!  I can't wait to see what else Lisa's going to do with this new series!

Songs:
"Pushing Back the Dark" by Josh Wilson
