5 Stars AND added to MY FAVORITE BOOKS LIST!
I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH!Picking up this book was like catching up with friends! I LOVE these characters so much that the mystery is almost a sub plot and I think even if the mystery wasn't in there I would still want to read it because I love these ladies SO MUCH! Plus old friends return and new faces join the cast. I also LOVE the descriptive way Donna writes it is so smooth and even lyrical at times full of Southern charm and so enjoyable to read out loud I read some things twice ;) She also expresses the societal segregations of race and class at this point in history in a way the beautifully weaves in with everything else. But oh that ending! I am at the edge of my seat in anticipation for the next one! <3
