My Opinion:
Good read!  This series has intrigued me and I've wanted to read one of Melissa's books for a while now so I jumped at the chance to read A Bride at Last the fourth installment in her Unexpected Brides series!  I have not been disappointed!  From the beginning Melissa unwraps a very unique and interesting story!  The questions of character and parentage leave you wondering and I got so wrapped up in the story that I found myself cheering when good news came and exasperated when bad news came right along with the characters!  You learn more and more about the characters as you read and it only makes you want to learn even more!  Struggles with addiction and past hurts complicate matters as well as present situations.  Can these characters learn to trust each other and their feelings to bring about what's best for the good or will things crumble completely along with their hearts?!  TO BE CONTINUED!!!

My Opinion:
Interesting and easy read.  This is my first Cathy Elliott book and so I didn't know what to expect.  I enjoyed the characters, though there were some things about the main character Thea that bothered me a little off and on, but I came to enjoy her and I LOVE her grandmother!!!!  Thea really puts up with more than I would from other characters in the book, but I do like how some come around in the end.  And she leans toward the dramatic, which was both entertaining and a bit much! LOL!  The mystery was interesting and twisty.  And I LOVE the way Cathy weaves in scripture and Faith, plus the messages of Forgiveness are an excellent addition.  I kinda felt like I started a series in the middle and I should already know these characters.  Jumping right into them without much introduction in the beginning, I felt like there was another book I should have read before this.  I do LOVE how Cathy ties everything up and explains everything in the end.  There was one thing mentioned in the book and then it didn't match up with another conversation at one time that I'm not sure if I didn't read it right or if it was a mix up.  Overall I am glad that I read this book and would recommend it to someone looking for a nice and easy mystery that is quirky and light.

My Opinion:
Such a FABULOUS BOOK!!!!!  After reading On Distant Shores and being introduced to Kay and Coop I WANTED to read their story SO bad!!!  So when I got the chance to I JUMPED on it! :D  I was not disappointed!  God inspired and really touched my heart with this story time and time again!  There were many reasons why I wanted to read it; the most being I was looking forward to Kay coming to Salvation!  And I LOVE how it all comes about!  In Perfect Time is FILLED with high suspense scenes that grow bigger as the story goes on, and AMAZING messages and characters!!!!  Though beautifully frustrating at times and wonderfully spiritual in others the journey within these pages takes you to many different places as the war begins to wind down and come to a close!  The history that Sarah ties in is awesome and I LOVE the different and interesting things from history that she mixes into her stories especially the donkeys! LOL!  And I'll leave it at that and let you see what I'm talking about when you read this fabulous book ;)  This is my favorite of the two that I've read in Wings of the Nightingale series and now that I know, and love, how it ends I really want to go back and read and review where it all started in With Every Letter!  Both Kay and Coop turn out to be very deep and multi-dimensional characters with families that neither understand them nor respect them.  So working through the pain and struggles of this life together becomes part of their dynamic.  Twist after twist, there are some high suspense scenes that I never saw coming as you fall in love with all these characters along the way.  I absolutely LOVE where this book ends at the same time I don't want it to end because all of these characters are so amazing.  I LOVE how Sarah wraps everything up and shows how each on these characters has gone through great journeys and changes both together and of their own.  Their are SO many things that I could say about this book, but they all can be summed up with I LOVE it and I highly recommend you read it. :)

In Perfect Time Giveaway!

While I was reading In Perfect Time (review coming Aug. 20th) I received a great idea for some crocheted items that go with the time and/or theme of the book and I thought I'd hold a giveaway for them and Sarah Sundin in her awesomeness and graciousness has offered a copy of In Perfect Time as well!

1 snood like, hair accessory!  This snood is a lovely white acrylic that will go with any outfit and helps to keep long hair captured away from your face! :)  After making this one I now know I need one for myself!  Here's a picture of the back of it.  It gathers around the ears beautifully and should reach all the way to the top of your head.  You can add a ribbon (not included) to the top if you want to or just wear it like so (if it doesn't feel secure enough you can always add bobby pins to). 

1 pair of light slippers made from 100% Peruvian Highland Wool hand dyed by me!  Measuring long and wide, and made with extra stretchy soles to maybe fit other sizes [that's the idea anyway ;) ]!  Ribbons are not included, but you could add them later if desired also. :)

And last but certainly not least my rendition of a 1940's style fan bag converted into an over the shoulder book bag; made in acrylic yarn from the olive drab and brown that reflect military colors and completed with a Cross and Nightingales wings to tie in with the series name and the Salvation found in the stories. 

 And of course a copy of In Perfect Time to put in your new book bag...what else! ;)

My Opinion:
FABULOUS book!  I absolutely loved this read!  There were spots in the beginning where the pace seemed to drop into lulls off and on, but then the story really got going!  I was led forward with the question of how is this going to end and who is going to win the promotion; as well as deeper messages of serving!  Molly and Ben are interesting characters.  Molly has grown up trying to gain love and attention from everyone around her especially her family, and Ben struggles with finding and putting down roots, loss and pain, and moving past his facade of arrogance.  It took me a little while to like Ben as a character, but as I read on and "got to know him" he became a good and lovable character! :)  The way all of these characters grow, especially Molly and Ben, is fabulous, and there are many characters that are amazing such as Molly's brother Paul and her best friend Taylor.  The end of this book is lovely, and the only thing I personally found a bit lacking was I wish there had been some more prayers.  This is the first time I've read Tara's writing and the first Quilts of Love to make it to My Favorite Books List!  This series keeps getting better and better, so far, and I can't wait for the next one.  I love Quilting, I love Kayaking, and I LOVED Rival Hearts! :)

P.S. I encourage you to look up a Hearts Entwined Quilt if you've never seen one.  The quilt that Molly is putting together is not the quilt on the cover and a true Hearts Entwined quilt is AMAZING and GORGEOUS!!!

My Opinion:
I Love the way this all starts!  The prologue leads you into a story within the stories and links them all together beautifully.

Spitfire Sweetheart is an excellent beginning!  The more books I read by Mary Connealy the more I LOVE her writing!  There are SO many of her characters that I LOVE and Mazie has shot to the top of the list!!!  With her spunk and strength of Faith and will she is awesome!  This is a GREAT story dealing with learning to love someone for just who they are!  This one is aptly named; the spunk, the Faith, the love, the strength, the HUMOR!  I laughed so hard at some scenes I almost fell out of my chair!  This one really touched my heart!

Next is Robin Lee Hatcher's A Love Letter to the Editor.  This is a sweet read!  I enjoyed the character dialogue and loved the plot.  This one shows that you don't have to settle for anything less than love, and that God's plans are FAR better than we ever dreamed!  Molly is a great character with touches of humor and adventure.  I always enjoy a tale when the two main characters try to be at odds with each other, but then realize they're in love!  A lovely story!

Thirdly comes A Cowboy for Katie by Debra Clopton.  This is the first from Debra I've read and I LOVED IT!!!  The healing that happens with Katie and the story as a whole are amazing!  From beginning to end I loved it!  Katie and Treb are both fascinating, lovable characters.  A LOT of rebuilding happens in this one!  From the ranch, to lives, to Faith, there's gonna be some beautiful makeovers!  Excellent story!!!!

And Finally Courting Trouble by Margaret Brownley.  Courtroom stories aren't always my thing, but I LOVE Margaret's writing!  Her characters are fantastic, especially Jesse, Grace's son, and I found myself really enjoying this Court case romance with humor in the midst of danger!  It is definitely different than what I first expected it to be!   A great mystery wraps into the plot making it even more intriguing!  This is a FABULOUS end to wrap up the Novellas with beauty and love!

Overall this book is a fantastic Must read!!!!  This collection of novellas is SO good I could read it over and over and over again!  These four authors are an excellent quartet and should write more and more novellas together! :D  Filled with SO many spiritual messages and lessons, wonderful romances, healing, mystery, amazing characters, and SO much more!

My Opinion:
Lovely read.  This is the first of this series I have read as well as my first Amy Clipston.  I really enjoyed it.  The story was great and Amy's style of writing leads you straight into the emotions of the characters.  From frustration, fear, and pain, to joy, love, and forgiveness, the plot flows nicely from beginning to end.  There were times when, in my opinion, the "which one do I choose" question got a little frustrating because to me there was only one true choice.  But this held a great message also, because it showed how God sets things before us, but this fallen world distracts and confuses us with what we think is more choices.  There was one thing that blew me out of the water about Carolyn's ex-boyfriend, but it seemed to fall in the middle with no explanation and no wrap up so maybe Amy will pick it back up for another book.  Hannah is brought back from the first book and I'm glad she was.  Since I haven't read her story I was floored when I read she separated her twins, but when she actually came back into the story I realized that she's not the one that separated them.  This part of the story was left hanging also and I hope it is also picked back up and completed in the next book.  Overall I think it was a nice read with some AWESOME characters that show what true Christian love really is and expresses forgiveness beautifully, and I'm looking forward to the next one!

My Opinion:
I'm kinda torn with this one.  I love Amish I love circus so I thought this was gonna be my kinda book.  And in some ways it was and in some ways it wasn't.  I had a really hard time getting into the plot.  For me the pace fluctuated from REALLY good scenes to filler that caused the pace and my attention to slip.  There was a little too much grief and death for me in the beginning, but by the end the joy and messages of God's will and love overcame them.  The kids captured my heart completely and almost immediately (they probably were at the top of my list of favorite characters in the whole book)!  The typos got a little frustrating at times and there were a couple of times where the story got confusing.  Example: one character asks another to go and get pizza for them all from the local pizza place; then later on in the story the same character says she'd never had pizza from the local place.  So there were these editing issues that I hope get fixed for future prints.  I absolutely LOVED the messages!  They range from remembering we answer to God and not to man; to acknowledging somethings in the Amish faith.  And I really enjoyed the addition of a quilt which kinda made it have the feelings of Abingdon Presses other Quilt's of Love series.  I do wish there was a little more circus actually in the book than there is.  There's some but I wanted more.  But the the things I learned about the Amish, Mennonites, and Pinecraft in Florida made me happy I'd read A Season of Change.  Overall I felt this is a highly interesting read, with a great love story that really touched my heart, spiritual messages that make it worth the read, and is filled with great pieces.

Introducing Robin's new novel, The Heart's Pursuit

My Opinion:
Awesome read!!!  There really hasn't been anything that I've read from Robin that I haven't liked!  The Heart's Pursuit definitely continues that!  I love how Robin writes!  She doesn't bog the story down with details and she gets her characters moving.  I especially love her new style in this book!!!  The beginning is awesome grabbing you right from the get go!  As these two travel she doesn't put in every single moment or ever single day; she gives important scenes and keeps them moving and the plot flowing with twist after twist!  I LOVE Silver, she is a fantastic character and I really relate with her in some areas, but not in others.   Not a completely pampered miss, she can hold her own on a horse and with a gun!  She's not always a damsel in distress which I loved and her grit and determination are admirable!  The chase is on as thieves and killers try to out run justice, but is it truly justice that Silver and Jared seek?  This is one of my favorites from Robin, if not my favorite, of everything I've read from her so far! ;)  With suspense and a great mystery within the hunt I highly recommend this read!!!
